FICTION
Mein Russland
My Russia
Barbara Gräftner
My Russia, a study of society... Margit is 46 years old, a divorced bank clerk - a so-called 'strong woman' and apparently
able to handle her life very well. But her son Hans is planning to marry Anna, a Russian woman, and she fears losing control
over him. The meeting of the two families is clouded by ambivalent feelings and prejudices.
After Margit's companion leaves for work and the woman's family is about to return to Russia, Margit starts a game designed
to help her regain power and avoid a life of loneliness. She is unconcerned by the resulting destruction.
