Documentary on the Turkish island of Bozcaada.
The jury statement:
THE FEVER portrays with craftmanship and excellent filmmaking skills a pressing and relevant issue that affects and kills hundreds of
thousand women and men and children every year. The empowerment of people and women for different medicinal techniques opposed
to occidental, capitalistic and multinational medecine corporations takes place in this film, shedding light on how these
alternative methods are a key for autonomy of health ressources, science and sovereignty. The film aims to show the attempt
to break the chain on several levels of oppression, colonization and economic bias.
