Steyr is a working-class town with a long industrial tradition. The production of engines and vehicle parts for the global market brought prosperity to Steyr, but also made it particularly vulnerable to crisis. In his essay documentary entitled STEYR, the director, who himself hails from a working-class family from Steyr, observes and analyses the economic and technological development in his hometown against the backdrop of recent crises.
