A documentary portrait of Dr. Johann Spittler, a neuropsychiatrist and physician, and one of the few specialists in Germany qualified to assess the decision-making capacity of individuals seeking assisted suicide. For the past 20 years, Dr. Spittler has traveled across Germany, meeting hundreds of people and issuing certificates of approval for more than 700 individuals. In some cases, he has also personally assisted in their suicides.
