A fierce controversy has been raging for years in an otherwise sedate Vienna. A private concert hall for the Vienna Boys Choir is being built in a heritagelisted Baroque park. The people, though, have defended their rights with unusual resilience, in protests mixing pleasurable activism with the tough stance required by citizen resistance. These actions can provide a productive blueprint for future creative protest.
